Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured products and components. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs. Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and reporting non-conformances. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product quality. Identify and quarantine defective materials or products, initiating corrective action processes. Maintain and perform basic calibration checks on inspection tools and equipment. Adhere strictly to quality control procedures, standards, and safety regulations. Recommended Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing quality inspection or a related role. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Demonstrated ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify non-conformances. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI). Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for data analysis.
