The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Byron Center region seeking IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) adheres to IATF 16949 requirements and drive its continuous improvement. Lead and participate in internal and external IATF 16949 audits, managing non-conformances and corrective actions. Facilitate root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys). Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Flows in accordance with APQP principles. Drive the PPAP submission and approval process for new products and changes, ensuring customer specific requirements are met. Monitor key quality performance indicators, analyze data, and implement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Recommended Qualifications In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 quality management system requirements. Demonstrated proficiency in AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Strong command of problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and root cause analysis. Experience in conducting and supporting internal and external IATF 16949 audits. Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
