Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies. Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and engineering specifications. Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance or rejection status. Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials according to established procedures. Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective or non-compliant parts. Utilize and maintain various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams on material discrepancies. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T. Demonstrated competence in using various precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators). Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify visual and dimensional defects. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and non-conformance reporting processes. Basic computer literacy for data entry, record keeping, and utilizing quality software. Bonus Qualifications Experience with automated inspection equipment programming or operation (e.g., CMM, Vision Systems). Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software. Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys). Experience interacting with suppliers regarding quality non-conformances.
