Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Functional Safety Engineer to join our projects in the field of automotive. In this position you are responsible for : Planning and coordinating of the functional safety activities in the product development phases. Functional safety process tailoring. Perform preliminary hazard analysis, FMEA, fault tree analysis. Defines the functional/technical safety Concepts Define safety mechanism, at the system, software and hardware level, necessary to achieve functional safety as defined by the applicable safety standard(s). Qualifications: Maser Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. At least three years experience in functional safety position. Knowledge of ISO 262626 standards or any other functional safety standards (EN 50126, EN 50129, EN 50159, and EN 50128) Excellent knowledge of safety methods (HAZOP, HARA, FMEA and FTA) Good analytical & synthesis skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, team-work spirit and independent working capability Good written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English, knowledge of French/Dutch is a strong plus.
