Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Fremont, MI Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience Are you a skilled professional with a passion for excelling in lean manufacturing engineer? The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, SMED, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) across production lines. Identify, analyze, and eliminate waste (Muda) in manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost. Develop, implement, and maintain standardized work procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and continuous improvement. Facilitate and lead continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to optimize production flow and reduce lead times. Train, mentor, and coach production teams and management on Lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques. Utilize data analysis and process mapping to identify bottlenecks, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Recommended Qualifications Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, VSM, SMED). Proven experience in process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective countermeasures. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to measure performance and drive data-driven decisions. Experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events.
