An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Havering (ages 11–18) is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Science Department from September. About the School The school is widely recognised for its strong academic results, supportive leadership and positive learning environment. Students are ambitious learners who respond well to challenging and engaging teaching. The Science department is well equipped and has a strong track record of success at GCSE and A-Level. Staff collaborate closely to ensure lessons are engaging and support students in developing both theoretical understanding and practical skills. ECTs are provided with an excellent induction programme that includes mentoring, training and opportunities to observe experienced teachers. The Role As a Physics ECT, you will: • Teach engaging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. • Contribute to the success of a strong and collaborative Science Department. • Support enrichment opportunities including STEM clubs and competitions. • Benefit from tailored mentoring and ongoing professional development. Requirements • Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and holds QTS. • Has a strong passion for Physics and science education. • Demonstrates enthusiasm, organisation and strong communication skills. • Is committed to developing engaging lessons that inspire students. • Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team.
