Principal Teradata Architect (Remote, Anywhere in Pakistan, USD Salary)

Requirements: 8+ years in Data Warehousing, with 5+ years specifically in Teradata Vantage or 16.x/17.x environments. Mastery of Teradata-specific SQL extensions, BTEQ scripting, and stored procedures Hands-on experience with Teradata Studio, Viewpoint, and BAR (Backup, Archive, and Restore) solutions. Understanding of data classification and residency requirements relevant to the KSA public sector. Responsibilities: Lead the design of complex relational and dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake) tailored for government-level KPIs and statistics. Perform advanced performance tuning using TASM (Teradata Active System Management) and analyze "Explain" plans to eliminate processing bottlenecks. Design and implement Teradata QueryGrid fabrics to enable cross-platform analytics between Teradata and Hadoop (Hive/HDFS). Expertise in TDCH (Teradata Connector for Hadoop) for high-speed, bi-directional data movement. Ability to architect "Federated Queries" that minimize data egress from the Hadoop environment. Direct the development of high-speed data loading scripts using TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter), FastLoad, and MultiLoad. Ensure the warehouse architecture supports Regulatory Technology (RegTech) indicators, focusing on data accuracy and auditability.
