The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Whitehall region seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. Maintain the general ledger, perform journal entries, and reconcile various accounts, including bank and credit card statements. Prepare and process payroll for hourly and salaried manufacturing employees, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. Assist with inventory tracking and valuation for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Manage fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules for manufacturing machinery and equipment. Support month-end and year-end close processes, preparing basic financial statements such as P&L and Balance Sheet. Prepare and file sales tax returns and other statutory compliance reports. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations. Demonstrated experience with inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and job costing in a manufacturing environment. Expertise with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and support month-end/year-end close processes. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and understanding of accounting principles relevant to manufacturing operations. Bonus Qualifications Experience with inventory and cost accounting principles. Familiarity with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Experience with job costing for production orders. Understanding of fixed asset management and depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
