The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and CAD models. Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. Execute First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using CMMs. Analyze inspection data, generate comprehensive reports, and identify non-conformances. Troubleshoot and optimize CMM programs and metrology equipment for accuracy and efficiency. Design and develop specialized fixturing solutions for CMM measurement applications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models. Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and basic troubleshooting. Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection processes. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) for model manipulation and analysis. Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques. Experience with designing or fabricating custom fixturing for CMM inspection. Scripting or automation skills for data processing or CMM routine optimization.
