Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints. Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. Execute First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections using CMMs. Analyze measurement data, identify discrepancies, and generate comprehensive inspection reports. Troubleshoot CMM programming and measurement issues, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define inspection requirements and resolve non-conformances. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in CMM programming in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Deep understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and CMM operation. Skilled in troubleshooting CMM programs, fixtures, and measurement results. Relevant technical degree or certification in metrology, quality, or a related field. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model analysis or fixture design. Experience operating and programming other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners). Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for data analysis or program automation.
