Key Responsibilities Prepare and configure manufacturing machinery and equipment for production runs. Install, adjust, and replace tooling, dies, and fixtures according to job specifications. Perform test runs and initial quality checks to ensure setup accuracy and product quality. Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues and minor machine malfunctions. Calibrate and verify equipment settings to meet precise product specifications. Document setup parameters, process adjustments, and equipment status. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Recommended Qualifications 2+ years of experience in machine setup and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Strong mechanical aptitude for precise machine adjustments, alignments, and minor repairs. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve setup-related issues quickly to minimize production downtime. Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all setup and maintenance activities. Bonus Qualifications Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for interpreting designs or modifying fixtures. Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Tool & Die making or precision machining experience.
