The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Paw Paw region seeking HR Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Ensure HR policies and practices comply with labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company standards. Develop and implement training programs for skill development, safety, and leadership within the plant. Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity for manufacturing roles. Drive performance management processes, including appraisals, goal setting, and corrective action plans. Partner with plant leadership to address workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development needs. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years) in HR management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing. Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and workforce development for a diverse manufacturing workforce. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to effectively partner with all levels of an organization. Proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics to support strategic HR initiatives. Bonus Qualifications Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives. Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce. Familiarity with manufacturing-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and workers' compensation processes. Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or a related operational excellence methodology.
