Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance. Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings. Conduct design analysis, including FEA, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-ups. Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless design implementation. Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical documentation. Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised product designs. Identify and implement design improvements to resolve production issues or enhance product quality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo). Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and stress analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, casting). Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems. Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or workshop tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
