Staff Accountant – Seattle Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established, multi-entity organization. This team operates within a sophisticated, professional environment supporting commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects, along with community-focused investment initiatives. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and play an active role in the month-end close process. This individual will prepare journal entries and accruals, perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, and assist in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work with confidential financial information. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Perform detailed reconciliations (bank, AR, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and other GL accounts) Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax-related information requests Research accounting issues and respond to internal and external inquiries Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls Participate in cross-functional collaboration within the accounting team Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Approximately 2+ years of relevant accounting experience Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Experience with ERP systems required Preferred experience includes: PeopleSoft, Yardi, or similar systems Close management tools such as FloQast Exposure to BI reporting tools (Power BI or similar) Compensation Hourly range approximately $40–$45 Bonus eligibility Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
