Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs for production. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet production requirements. Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate product performance and manufacturability. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements and industry standards. Troubleshoot design-related manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in design reviews and implement feedback for continuous product and process improvement. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) and experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal). Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and creating detailed technical drawings. Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills for design optimization and root cause analysis. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency in a specific manufacturing process (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing). Demonstrated experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation and optimization. Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and assembly of mechanical components or systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
