The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Tooling Engineers. By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and modify manufacturing tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling failures and issues. Manage tooling maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness. Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to optimize tooling performance and product manufacturability. Support new product introductions by developing and validating new tooling solutions and processes. Analyze manufacturing processes to identify and implement tooling-related improvements for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Specify and procure tooling materials, components, and equipment. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. 3+ years experience in tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling design. Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping). Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement continuous improvement solutions. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., Moldflow, FEA) for tool design and optimization. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for prototyping or tooling components. Project management experience on complex tooling initiatives.
