Quality Technician | Montague, MI Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience Are you a skilled professional with a passion for inspection, testing, and ensuring product quality? The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Quality Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases. Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed. Maintain and verify the calibration status of inspection, measurement, and test equipment. Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and internal procedures. Collaborate with production personnel to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to product quality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications. Understanding of basic quality control principles, including SPC and root cause analysis. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with calibration of measurement equipment. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training. Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) for data analysis and SPC charting. Prior experience with internal quality audits. Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming.
