Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcast organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games. About The Role: The Director of Content Coordination is responsible for ensuring the seamless planning and alignment of all OBS content to Media Rights-Holders (MRHs). This includes overseeing live and non-live content streams and ensuring they function as an integrated family of products. You will partner closely with production management, graphics, engineering, and external vendors to keep workflows synchronised, timelines on track, and content standards consistently high. This role requires a seasoned broadcast professional with strong leadership skills, exceptional coordination abilities, and a strategic mindset capable of navigating fast-paced, high‑stakes environments. Duties & Responsibilities: Content Oversight & Delivery Coordinate all OBS content offerings (Live Coverage, Graphics, Production Enhancements, MDS, Additional Content, Digital Content, Content+, etc.). Ensure all delivered content adheres to OBS quality standards and presents a uniform, cohesive user experience. Set and manage operational timelines and content delivery milestones. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Serve as a strategic liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and MRH partners. Facilitate clear communication channels to support smooth decision‑making and alignment. Operational & Workflow Governance Define, maintain, and optimise content workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency across teams. Lead coordination meetings, escalate risks, and support rapid problem‑solving when needed. Support adherence to metadata, quality, and documentation standards. Leadership & Team Development Foster a culture of inclusion, shared ownership, and thoughtful communication. Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in processes and workflows. Strategic Partnership Translate the CCO’s strategic direction into actionable plans and operational structures. Regularly communicate progress, risks, and resource needs. Identify opportunities to enhance content delivery across the MRH experience. Skills, Requirements & Qualifications: Experience & Technical Skills: A minimum of a relevant tertiary qualification. 10- 15 years of experience in a Live Directing/ Live Producing function in an international broadcast environment, ideally at scale. Non-Live Directing is advantageous. Demonstrated success leading complex content operations with multiple stakeholders. Excellent written and spoken English (native or bilingual). Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. Proven track record of cross‑functional collaboration across technical, production, editorial, and vendor teams. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of end‑to‑end production workflows and standards. Experience managing high‑performing teams in fast‑paced environments. Strong commitment to inclusive leadership and respectful communication. Advantageous Skills: Experience in Olympic, sports, or other major international event broadcast operations. Background in workflow optimisation or process design for large‑scale operations. Experience working across multicultural and multilingual environments. Knowledge of emerging production technologies, digital storytelling tools, or innovative content formats. Demonstrated ability to support organisational change and evolve content processes.
