Junior Customs Operations

Our Client Our client is a global logistics and supply chain organization providing end-to-end solutions across freight management, contract logistics, and transportation. With operations in Portugal, they support clients from multiple industries through integrated, scalable, and efficiency-driven logistics services. Role Overview Reporting to the Customs Team Leader, you will be part of a diverse team responsible for ensuring that all customs clearance activities are correctly executed for goods entering and leaving the country. You will work with different systems, including Cargowise and Gidwin , to retrieve and process the documentation required for customs procedures. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential to avoid errors or omissions in customs documentation. This position involves frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to build and maintain strong, long-term working relationships, providing support and follow-up throughout each stage of the customs process. (This position is available on-site in Porto or Lisbon) Requirements: Completed secondary education; Upper-intermediate level of English; Proven experience and knowledge in customs clearance or import/export activities (minimum 1 year); Previous experience within a freight forwarding environment (desirable); Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to build and maintain solid customer relationships; Good IT literacy; Previous experience with GIDWIN (desirable); Natural problem-solving ability; High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines; Team-oriented mindset.
