The Role We are looking for a Ruby Developer (Mid or Senior level) to join a core product team working on mission-critical e-commerce solutions. You will be hands-on with Ruby on Rails, collaborating closely with product, QA, and engineering peers to shape systems that serve global merchants. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys clean architecture, pragmatic problem-solving , and working in a product-led environment where true ownership is expected and rewarded. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on high performance and reliability. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality features aligned with the global roadmap. Write clean, maintainable code and develop meaningful unit and end-to-end tests. Drive technical decisions by evaluating custom-built versus off-the-shelf solutions. Ensure seamless performance across various browsers and devices. Maintain healthy workflows , visibility, and a steady delivery pace within the team. What You Bring Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles. Hands-on experience with MVC architecture, ORM, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL. Data Integration: Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into cohesive systems. Modern DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices. Frontend Familiarity: Comfort working with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js and/or React.js. Communication: Professional proficiency in English and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Nice to Have: Experience with Sidekiq and Redis . Familiarity with Liquid or other server-side templating languages. Background in e-commerce (ideally within the Shopify ecosystem).
