Learning and Development Manager (F&B)

Key Responsibilities Learning Strategy & Program Design Develop and execute the companys learning and development strategy aligned with business goals and operational needs. Design structured training programs for frontline staff, supervisors, managers, and support functions. Ensure training initiatives support service excellence, productivity, and employee retention. Operations & Technical Training Lead the development of technical and operational training modules, including: Food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Kitchen operations and service procedures Customer service and guest experience Equipment use and safety Ensure consistent training delivery across outlets and locations. Onboarding & Compliance Training Design and manage onboarding programs for new hires to ensure fast and effective integration. Ensure mandatory compliance training (food safety, health regulations, workplace safety) is delivered and documented. Coordinate certification and refresher training in line with regulatory requirements. Leadership & Talent Development Develop leadership and supervisory programs for store managers, kitchen leaders, and high-potential employees. Support succession planning and career development initiatives. Coach managers on people development and performance management practices. Training Delivery & Facilitation Deliver in-person, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions. Partner with operations leaders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to deliver specialized programs. Train and support internal trainers and operations champions. Learning Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. Monitor KPIs such as training completion, time-to-competency, and post-training performance. Continuously improve programs based on operational feedback and business outcomes. Learning Systems & Documentation Manage learning platforms, training records, and documentation. Ensure training materials, manuals, and SOPs are current and aligned with operational standards. Support audits and inspections requiring training compliance records. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Education, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the food and beverage, hospitality, or retail industry. Experience designing and delivering training for frontline and operational roles. Strong understanding of food safety, service operations, and compliance requirements.
