Project Manager – Healthcare Construction Location: Bluffton, South Carolina Work Model: Fully Onsite (Non-Negotiable) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $115,000 – $140,000 base + bonus eligibility + full benefits The Opportunity HireNow Staffing is partnering with a well-established commercial construction organization to identify a seasoned Project Manager for a ground-up hospital build scheduled to begin construction in mid-2026. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in complex healthcare environments , takes full ownership of execution, and is comfortable leading projects from preconstruction through close-out. The successful candidate will be a steady, hands-on leader who understands the operational, safety, and regulatory rigor required for hospital construction. This is a fully onsite role in Bluffton, SC and requires early ramp-up ahead of the construction start. What You'll Be Responsible For Candidates must demonstrate direct, hands-on experience with these responsibilities to be considered: Lead a ground-up healthcare construction project from preconstruction through final close-out Own project scheduling, sequencing, and milestone execution across all phases Maintain full responsibility for budget development, cost controls, forecasting, and reporting Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams in close partnership with Superintendents Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements Drive proactive problem-solving to mitigate risk, delays, and cost overruns Serve as the central point of accountability between field leadership, executives, and external stakeholders Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) 5–10 years of relevant construction Project Management experience Proven ground-up healthcare or large commercial construction experience Direct ownership of budgets, schedules, and cost reporting Experience working closely with Superintendents and field leadership Ability and willingness to work fully onsite in Bluffton, SC Stable employment history with demonstrated follow-through on long-term projects Preferred Qualifications (Highly Important) Strong preference will be given to candidates who bring: Prior experience managing hospital construction projects specifically Background with a General Contractor (not owners rep–only or consulting roles) Construction Management degree or equivalent hands-on experience Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-trade teams through complex build phases Track record of delivering projects on schedule, on budget, and to healthcare standards This Role Is Not a Fit If You: Have no ground-up healthcare project experience Have worked only on tenant improvements, interiors, or renovations Have never managed a project end-to-end from preconstruction to close-out Lack direct accountability for budgets and scheduling Come from strictly owners rep or advisory roles without GC-side execution ownership Have a pattern of job hopping or roles under 18 months Are seeking hybrid or remote flexibility Are unwilling to ramp up onsite ahead of the mid-2026 build start What the Client Values Most Proven healthcare construction experience Field leadership and accountability Reliability, execution discipline, and calm decision-making under pressure Clear communication and a team-first mindset HireNow Staffing Disclaimer HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this role.
