Our client is seeking an Oracle OIPA Engineer to support policy administration systems for a major financial services environment. The role involves hands‑on OIPA configuration and development, SQL/XML engineering, cloud‑based application development, and full SDLC participation. This position requires strong technical depth, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams. Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Contract Duration: 6 months | W2 Location: Charlotte, NC or Minneapolis, MN Requirements: Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation and cloud‑based deployment workflows. Design and develop OIPA configurations, rules, transactions, extensions, and integrations. Create low‑level design documents, engineering specifications, and code outlines. Write high‑quality code following established standards, patterns, and best practices. Perform unit testing, troubleshoot defects, and support QA with test data and scenarios. Provide technical guidance to junior developers and influence engineering practices. Analyze system interdependencies and design effective interfaces between applications. Support production environments, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend improvements. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of OIPA, cloud technologies, and enterprise development tools. Qualifications/Must-Haves: Experience working with geographically distributed teams. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. 2–3 years of cloud application development (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with CI/CD and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, etc.) Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, standards‑compliant code. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5–7+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) 5–7 years of SQL and XML development, including stored procedures, views, and functions. Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server Management Studio. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting. Familiarity with AI/MLOps concepts (bonus only) Experience with container technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS) Experience with AWS services in full‑stack or backend development. Experience translating business requirements into technical designs. Ability to evaluate system performance, reliability, and scalability.
