KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in the following: Litigation background - Discover Request, Background Reviews, Computer Knowledge (MS Suite) Personal injury experience would be considered (if they bill more on the defensive side). They have to know the biller side. Must be able to "craft a narrative to support the time they spent." A biller would know what that means. Needs someone who is independent BUT can work collaboratively. Tons of documents. Drafting of pleadings (actually the drafting of complaints, motions, discovery) Someone who can manage cases (someone who can think of the next step themselves). "If they do litigation, they know all the steps." Managing attorney's calendars. They do not want to see the following: plaintiff work, family law, real estate, nor employment law experience. (This would not be a match for them.) Must Have: Seasoned Paralegal 5+ years of experience in the following: Litigation paralegal experience with Discover Request, Background Reviews, Computer Knowledge (MS Suite). Drafting - must independently draft pleadings such as complaints, motions, and discovery documents. Billing experience Nice to Have Personal injury experience (explicitly preferred if aligned with billing expectations).
