Azure Infrastructure Expert, EU based

We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Expert to support the design, setup, and operation of a new Master Data Management (MDM) system on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, cloud security and governance, and automation. The role requires a proactive, collaborative mindset and experience working in complex cloud environments. Start Date: ASAP Location: Remote / EU-based Language: English Contract Type: B2B Responsibilities: Design, provision, and operate Azure infrastructure for a master data management platform Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , including modules, state management, workspaces, and providers Establish and maintain Azure governance, access control, and security best practices Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins Configure and manage Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewalls) Monitor and operate Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Defender for Cloud Automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python Collaborate with application development teams to ensure infrastructure supports platform and application needs Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Azure resource provisioning and management Expert-level proficiency with Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces, providers) Experience with CI/CD automation for infrastructure and platform operations Solid understanding of Azure RBAC , security best practices, and governance frameworks Good knowledge of Azure networking fundamentals Experience with Azure operational and security tooling (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud) Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python Nice to have: Experience building or operating large-scale cloud platforms Background in infrastructure supporting data-intensive or enterprise systems Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization and operational best practices
