Automation Engineer (80-100K)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create PLC programs using ladder editor, function block diagrams, flow charts, etc. for converting equipment and associated functions
- Design and develop HMI applications
- Design and review PLC network architecture
- AC/DC drives configuration
- Integration of Legacy drives, controls and equipment
- Support the creation of technical product documentation and information
- In-house testing of software and systems
- Provide on-site assistance during system start-up and commissioning
- Remote and on-site customer support
- Interact with customers as required
- Work closely with team members to complete projects and assignments
Education and Experience:
- BSEE or MSEE with Controls background preferred
- 3-7 years of engineering experience
- Ability to travel 25-30% North America and International
- Knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, PCs, Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC
- Strong understanding of industrial controls networks
- Must be eligible to work in the US without restriction indefinitely
- Training: Must be willing to train at the NY plant initially for 6 months, then can work out of the CT plant
