Intake Counselor

Join our Intake Team as an Intake Counselor in a full-time capacity at NCMHS headquarters located within the vibrant Short North area! This role requires an Ohio licensure as an LSW, PC or MFT and involves conducting initial evaluations and follow-up assessments of persons served.  Enjoy a balanced work schedule with no evenings, weekends, holidays or on-call schedule requirements with working hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  Provide a minimum of 1,020 patient service hours annually (85/month).

On Site Work is compensated at $33 hourly. Remote/Telehealth is compensated at $25 hourly*.

*Remote positions must successfully complete mandatory on-site training at the discretion of the Clinical Services Manager.

KEY Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough mental health and substance use disorder assessments and re-assessments adhering to OhMHAS and CARF standards.
  • Manage intake documentation efficiently.
  • Review and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Support other team members by providing pre-assessment treatment services when necessary.
  • Collaborate with external parties during an assessment processes if needed.
  • Assist in completing case terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree coupled with relevant LSW, LPC or MFT credentialing;
  • Prior experience working with serious mental illness or substance use disorders;
  • Proven track record of performing clinical evaluations;
  • Provide a minimum of 1,020 patient service hours annually (85/month);
  • Fulfillment of company credentialing requirements;
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, automobile and excellent driving record are required; and
  • Pre-employment criminal background check and drug testing are mandatory.
