Sensor Assembly Technician and Sensor Test Technician

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Job description:

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Sensor Technician to join our production team in Norwood, MA.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and testing high-precision sensors, working with micro-components from raw parts to final assembly. If you possess a resilient "never give up" mindset when tackling intricate mechanical and technical challenges, we want to hear from you.

Schedule:(M-F) 7:30am - 4pm

Pay rate:$24 - $28/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Assembly: Build complex sub-assemblies and final sensor products from individual components following detailed work instructions, specifications, and on-the-job (OTJ) training.

  • Micro-Assembly & Welding: Perform delicate positioning, installation, and welding of sub-components using microscopes and magnifying viewers.

  • Testing & Inspection: Rigorously test, inspect, and troubleshoot sub-assemblies and final products to ensure strict quality standards are met.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, logs, and process documentation with high attention to detail.

  • Process Adherence: Carefully read, interpret, and follow technical instructions and safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Dexterity & Vision: Exceptional hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and steady hands required to manipulate tiny components under magnification.

  • Mindset: A resilient, persistent, and problem-solving temperament; someone who embraces technical challenges and stays focused through complex tasks.

  • Attention to Detail: Intense focus and commitment to producing defect-free, high-quality work.

  • Technical & Computer Literacy: Familiarity with basic computer navigation and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for recording data.

  • Communication: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and standard operating procedures.
