CNC Machinist

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job.

  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce parts that meet exact specifications.

  • Program CNC equipment using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Fanuc controls, ensuring efficient machining processes.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize performance and prevent downtime.

  • Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, and other measurement tools for quality control purposes.

  • Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure parts conform to design requirements.

  • Inspect finished components for quality assurance using CNC quality inspection techniques and measurement instruments.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tooling wear, machine alignment, or programming errors to maintain high standards of accuracy.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of setups, measurements, and production logs for traceability and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design improvements using SolidWorks or CAD software to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
