Position Overview: The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove existing tyres from vehicles using appropriate tools.

• Fit new tyres ensuring proper alignment and balance.

• Repair punctures promptly while adhering to safety guidelines.

• Conduct inspections to assess tyre wear levels and recommend replacements if necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed including services provided, parts used, and time spent on each task.

• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workshop area.

• Provide excellent customer service by explaining any issues or recommendations regarding their vehicles’ tyres.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or similar role in an automotive setting.

• Strong knowledge of various tyre brands, specifications, and fitting techniques.

• Ability to use hand tools safely for removing/fitting tyres as well as balancing machinery effectively.

• Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills related to tyre fitting tasks

  • Physical stamina required for lifting heavy objects such as wheels/tyres frequently throughout shifts

  • Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory

Qualifications:

• Certification in Automotive Technology or related field would be advantageous

Working Conditions: This role involves working within a shop environment where there may be exposure both indoor conditions such noisy equipment operation alongside potential outdoor elements when performing tasks like retrieving items from storage areas etc., thus requiring adherence strict health & safety protocols always maintained without exception.
