Horse Caretaker Ranch Hand

Job Summary

• Mature, experienced ranch person that enjoys working outdoors, able to multitask, experience handling horse work as well as ranch landscaping work. Must have at least two yrs experience handling horses, tractors, machinery (must be able to care for and attach all farm equipment) involved in ranch and horse care. We cannot offer interviews to workers with a positive background check or current drug use. UDS prescreening done on premises. History of training, breaking or wrangling horses a plus. Hourly salary $17 to $23 per hr based on one to two yrs minimum horse exp. previous evidence of pay history. History of needed experience to handle multiple types of tasks offered at different rates of pay. Vacation Part time hours’ pay every seven months of work. Major holidays paid extra for worked hours. Job has up to 24 per week with one in two to three weekends working. Both horse care and landscaping are linked so experience in both is needed. General hours: 8AM to 5PM.  One work supervisor reference required in the past three years.

• Tasks also include commercial building care and minor repairs. including: keeping lawns cut, fence lines trimmed, attach backhoe for dirt work, keep small equipment running and clean, painting and power washing. Position is Contract Labor. Current Tx driver’s license required as well as clear background check and negative drug use urine test. We ask that you are able to work every second to third weekend.
