Canvassing Manager

Brooklyn SolarWorks is in search of an enthusiastic Canvassing Manager to establish and oversee our door-to-door outreach program.

As the Canvassing Manager, you will be responsible for leading a direct sales initiative that produces top-notch solar prospects by informing residents about solar energy solutions offered by Brooklyn SolarWorks. You will recruit, train, and supervise a team of canvassers to carry out this strategy while representing Brooklyn SolarWorks throughout NYC neighborhoods. You will manage the entire program, including defining area strategies, creating marketing tools and materials, selecting appropriate software, and guiding a successful field team. This position suits someone who enjoys fieldwork, excels at team building, and values face-to-face interaction as an effective method for gaining customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust field strategy to generate high-quality solar leads.

  • Recruit, train, and lead a group of canvassers in various locations.

  • Design and manage all marketing materials related to canvassing such as training guides, communication scripts, printed items, and equipment.

  • Oversee the budget associated with field marketing activities.

  • Research options for canvassing technology; recommend suitable lead-tracking software; ensure implementation.

  • Set up standardized procedures for capturing leads accurately as well as analyzing data collected from interactions while ensuring proper follow-ups are made.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in door-to-door sales or related canvassing roles.

  • At least 3 years managing teams involved in direct sales efforts.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to educate customers through selling techniques effectively used during presentations/discussions Experience using CRM systems combined alongside Google Suite applications Strong people-oriented approach along with proficiency within customer service domains

  • Physical Requirements: Capable working outdoors including walking long distances climbing stairs & standing extended periods

  • Valid NY Driver’s License required (clean record) willingness drive

Compensation/Benefits:

This position offers commission-based earnings alongside annual base salary ranging $70k-$80k depending candidate's prior experience OTE potential ranges from $80k-$100+k annually.
