New feature of Google for Jobs: Job Highlights

In the USA, another new feature has been launched to make the use of Google for Jobs even more applicant-friendly.

So far, the feature is only available in the English-speaking market, but experience shows that it will soon be available in Germany as well. Therefore it offers itself already now to introduce the new function once.

It is about the highlighting of particularly important aspects from the job advertisement. So that the applicant directly receives the most relevant information from the job offer, Job Highlights are now displayed under the job title. In most cases, Google searches for the necessary qualifications and tasks, which are then listed in keywords. Google uses an algorithm to decide which highlights appear.

Through this feature, the job search is more structured and applicants can get a better overview of the job ad. This also increases the likelihood that the applicant will look at more ads, since the entire ad does not have to be read first.

However, due to automatic extraction, it is difficult to control what is displayed in the job ad. However, this can also serve as an advantage as Google extracts what potential applicants are interested in from the job. You can take advantage of this by regularly reviewing your job ads to improve your job ads in the future.

Should the interest be aroused by the highlights, the full job description can be unfolded and read below.
