Equipment Engineer Graduate

This position is a key member of the Engineering team, in charge of improving, sustaining and troubleshooting Metrology equipment.

What you will do

  • Ownership of the site metrology equipment toolset – Initially under the guidance of existing tool owners
  • Publish and own tool recovery plans for owned tool sets that have been down for > 24 hours
  • Provide highly innovative solutions for equipment issues to enable recoveries avoiding very high cost or no obvious solution situations (even with Vendor support)
  • Approve / Critique detailed technical procedures for Equipment PMs/Tool Operation/OCAPS
  • Weekly reporting of key tool indices (OEE, Availability, PM KPIs)
  • Drive availability improvement through baseline equipment performance analysis and improvement projects working with Process, Integration, R&D, Vendors.
  • Assist in new product integration where tool modification or set up is required.
  • Develop cross tool type capability (tool matching)
  • Find innovative solutions for obsolescence in electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Review all scheduled maintenance activities online through PROMIS TMS and improve efficiency.
  • Lean improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate waste within multiple tools - PM extensions, process simplification, qual reduction.
  • 6S: take full ownership, drive improvement and set appropriate standards for 6S disciplines on toolset and ancillaries/storage areas.
  • Own tool start-up process from purchase to release to Tier2 for tool installations in conjunction with process team and equipment experts.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of facilities requirements for tools.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Degree/HND in Scientific discipline is preferred.
