How You Will Make An Impact
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. As a Financial Analyst at ThredUp, your responsibilities include driving financial planning and budgeting processes for revenue, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as required by leadership. You will also be responsible for providing project teams & internal business partners with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes.

To be successful as a Senior Financial Analyst at ThredUp, you are able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, are an excellent collaborator, and are able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

In This Role You’ll Get To:

  • Partner across Finance, Marketing, and Marketplace Optimization teams to translate business strategy and performance trends into revenue forecast modeling and reporting 

  • Develop and drive continuous improvement of financial models that predict future revenue performance; includes maintaining Contribution Margin, Cohort, and Stacks modeling

  • Provide insights into the forecast and the key drivers of performance through a financial and analytical lens in order to guide strategic decision making

  • Track business and Finance KPIs and prepare revenue related financial reports, helping to explain their impact on total company P&L

  • Support Total Company Consolidations through close and budget processes and Board/Executive/All Hands Presentations partnering across the Finance Organization

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS/BA in finance, statistics or other quantitative field

  • 7+ years of FP&A experience; experience with revenue and marketing forecasting preferred 

  • Advanced modeling and analytical skills with mastery in Excel and/or Google Sheets

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, comfortable in a fast-paced
    data-driven business environment with the ability to multitask

  • Self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and takes on end-to-end project ownership 

  • Ability to connect the dots between strategies, think big and challenge the status quo

  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively, achieve commitments and deliver results

  • A Plus for the following: 

    • Data/Systems knowledge of BI tools (Looker) and Planful

    • FP&A experience in an online retail company


At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $117,000 and $135,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock. ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
