Powercenter Engineer

Position Overview:

As a Powercenter Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using Informatica Powercenter. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your expertise in Powercenter will be crucial in ensuring efficient and accurate data integration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Informatica Powercenter

- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand data integration requirements

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop data integration workflows accordingly

- Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes to ensure data accuracy and efficiency

- Optimize existing data integration workflows for improved performance

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for data integration processes

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data integration and Powercenter

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on Powercenter and data integration best practices

- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful integration of data across systems

- Communicate project status and escalate issues to management as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data integration using Informatica Powercenter

- Strong understanding of data integration concepts and best practices

- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes

- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Experience with other data integration tools (DataStage, Talend, etc.) is a plus
