Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced F5 Load Balancer Engineer to support deployment and integration of F5 load balancers specifically in virtualized environments within a Nokia OpenStack infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of IP networking, hands-on experience with F5 appliances in both hardware and virtualized forms, and demonstrated success operating in highly structured, large-scale customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-level and low-level network and load balancer architecture.
• Package configuration artifacts for delivery and deployment (CSAR).
• Conduct acceptance testing in customer labs to validate configurations.
• Perform First Field Application (FFA) deployments.
• Execute production deployments across multiple customer sites.
• Maintain and update deployment documentation and reports, including:
• Gold Standard configuration files (GS)
• ATP test cases
• Action registers, risk trackers, and meeting minutes
• JIRA ticketing and progress tracking
• Method of Procedures (MOPs) and change request (CR) follow-ups
• Care handover documentation and security audit reports

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level knowledge of IP networking and network design principles.
• Extensive experience with F5 load balancer deployments and upgrades, preferably in virtual environments.
• Proven ability to work in OpenStack environments, including VM installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), including deployment using VNF Managers (VNFM).
• Background in managing services for large Tier-1 customer environments.
• Comfortable working in process-intensive, multi-team collaborative environments.
