Waiter - Ocean Basket

Ocean Basket is searching for an experienced Waiterresponsible for providing an amazing experience to restaurant guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring perfection in every detail and customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep in constant contact with the rest of the restaurant crew to make sure that everything is running smoothly.
• Team work – relief the other waiters when it’s needed, cooperation with the runners and communicate with the BOH
• To meet, greet and seat quests when hostess is not available.
• Responsible for the setting up of the FOH.
• Assist guests with ordering by answering menu questions or making recommendations upon request.
• Take accurate food and drink orders.
• Inform quests about restaurant specials and promotions.
• Up-sell any additional products when appropriate.
• Find ways to consolidate service and increase table turns.
• Present and pour wine selections with the appropriate stemware.
• Check in with quests to make sure they are enjoying their meals and correct any problems.
• Deliver checks and process bill payments.
• Keep in constant contact with the management to ensure a smooth shift and no delays in any areas of the restaurant.
• Product knowledge
• Stay up to date on any menu changes.
• Be aware about specials and promotions.
• Handle all bill payments, issue correct change and keep all proof of payment unlit cash up procedures.
