Plant Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Plant Manager to lead operations at our state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical engineering, a proven track record in construction chemical production, and the leadership acumen to drive operational excellence, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production

  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and HSE
  • Manage the manufacturing of products such as admixtures, waterproofing systems, grouts, sealants, epoxies, and specialty coatings
  • Monitor and optimize plant KPIs including yield, batch consistency, downtime, and OEE
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with local and international safety, environmental, and chemical handling regulations
  • Maintain and enforce ISO/QHSE certifications and ensure accurate reporting
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations or quality issues

People & Collaboration

  • Recruit, train, and retain skilled plant personnel and technical supervisors
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, QA/QC, and Supply Chain teams for product scale-ups, audits, and client-specific requirements

Planning & Cost Control

  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for raw material planning and inventory optimization
  • Drive cost control initiatives without compromising quality or safety

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory)
  • 1015 years of experience in construction chemical manufacturing, preferably with a reputable multinational or regional brand
  • Strong hands-on experience with batch processing, PLC/SCADA systems, and reactive chemical environments
  • In-depth knowledge of HAZOP, MSDS, REACH, and safe chemical storage and handling practices
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an added advantage
