Founding Developer Relations Engineer

About the Opportunity

We’re hiring a Developer Relations Engineer to join the founding team of a cutting-edge, open-source LLM infrastructure startup. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive global adoption by building a thriving developer community, creating top-tier technical content, and forming strategic partnerships. You’ll serve as the bridge between engineering and the broader ML builder ecosystem helping developers deeply engage with our platform and shape its evolution. This is a unique chance to work alongside world-class engineers and researchers while building in public from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish engaging technical content - tutorials, demos, documentation, blog posts, and videos
  • Build reference integrations and examples that demonstrate real-world use cases
  • Represent the company at events, webinars, podcasts, and developer meetups
  • Engage with the developer community across GitHub, Discord, X/Twitter, and other channels
  • Gather user feedback and work closely with engineering to inform product decisions
  • Develop and manage partnerships that expand product visibility and adoption

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers
  • Natural storyteller who can explain complex technical concepts clearly and creatively
  • Experience growing or engaging developer communities, launching products, or advocating for tools
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, experimental approach to building and outreach
  • Excited to shape early-stage company culture in a fast-paced environment
  • Based in (or open to relocating to) NYC to work on-site with the core team

Why Join

  • Competitive salary and significant ownership of community and platform direction
  • Help build a foundational layer for industrial-grade LLM applications
  • Work with ML researchers, compiler maintainers, and systems engineers from elite institutions
  • Most of your work will be public and contribute to the broader AI community
  • Help redefine how LLMs evolve through live feedback and production learning
  • Supported by leading investors committed to long-term open-source innovation

How to Apply

To apply, please submit your CV along with links to technical content you’ve authored (docs, videos, talks, blog posts or open-source work). Include a brief cover letter describing your enthusiasm for developer advocacy, community building, and what excites you about shaping Developer Relations as a founding team member. Applications are reviewed as they are received and we encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
