Now Hiring: Transportation Dispatcher – Supervise Freight Loading & Keep Operations Moving

TCI Logistics is seeking a reliable and proactive Transportation Dispatcher to serve as a vital link in our logistics network. In this role, you will oversee communication between drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure freight is loaded, transported, and delivered on time — every time. We’re looking for someone with the experience and confidence to supervise freight loading and driver operations independently during early morning shifts.

Schedule & Compensation

• $24.00/hour

• Tuesday – Saturday | 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM

• Location: Rock Tavern, NY

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage freight loadingand ensure accurate, timely dispatching and delivery.

• Oversee daily fleet activity, ensuring DOT compliance, safe operations, and optimal route planning.

• Monitor real-time driver locations via McLeod and Samsara to ensure operational flow.

• Accept and manage EDI loads; ensure all steps from load acceptance to completion are documented.

• Troubleshoot delivery or pick-up issues and act as the primary point of contact for drivers and vendors.

• Collaborate with account managers, customers, and freight partners to meet time-sensitive demands.

• Track performance metrics and ensure effective communication across departments.

• Upload and manage documentation related to load delivery and dispatching in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in transportation dispatching or fleet management preferred.

• Proven ability to supervise loads and driver performance independently.

• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations a plus.

• Strong multitasking skills and ability to remain composed under pressure.

• Proficiency with dispatch software systems (e.g., McLeod, Samsara).

• Effective communicator with strong customer service orientation.

• Analytical mindset and decision-making capabilities to solve operational challenges.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
