  • Estimated Compensation: $45.20 - $54.56 per hour (negotiable).
  • Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours a week.
  • Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.

Summary of Duties

The Physical Therapist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the physical therapy department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves managing daily operations, coordinating patient care, and providing leadership and support to the physical therapy team.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of physical therapy experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Must hold a current Physical Therapist license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required; Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) accepted.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Supervision: Oversee and manage the physical therapy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Ensure that patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care. Implement and maintain standards of care and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Staff Training: Provide ongoing training and education to physical therapy staff. Mentor and support new therapists and ensure they are integrated into the team.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, handle administrative tasks, and ensure proper documentation. Participate in budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to and manage emergencies and critical situations. Provide guidance and support to physical therapy staff during crises.
  • Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and home care strategies.
