ASSISTANTPROJECT MANAGER
Reports to:This position will report to theDirector of Operations.
Indirect reporting:Project Executive,SeniorProject Managerand Project Manager.
Objective:TheAssistantProject Manager (APM) isresponsibleto assist the
project team inthe completion of each assigned project within
established schedule and budget parameters, and in a manner
consistent with customer-focused project delivery standards.
TheAPM must be able to multi-task, prioritize his/her own
responsibilities.TheAPM is also expected to develop and foster
strong relationships with industry contacts,including customers,
the design community, owners representatives, and subcontractors.
SupervisoryResponsibility :
TheAPM will work in concert withDir. of Ops,PX,PM's, on-site Superintendents, and the General Superintendent
Communicate and enforces safety procedures and site rules
Assist in the management ofoverallproject and projectrequirements
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Receive, log,file,and control shop drawings
Assist with processing ofRFIs
Follow up onquantities in place weeklywith support of Superintendent
Quantity take-off for field procurement and change orders
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in preparing and updating schedule
Assist Project Manager with change order proposals
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
Assist Super in development ofinitialpunch list
Managecloseoutand procure all closeout materials as the projectprogresses
Assist withSubcontractor solicitation and procurement
Assistance with estimating
Submittaland shop drawingreviewand processing
Assist withand attendPSRmeetings
Closeouts; timely, complete and accurate
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Managementor equivalent, plus
experience/knowledge of construction.
1-3years of experience in relatedconstruction fields.
Thorough knowledge ofSafety Program.
Basicscheduling understanding.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Extremelydetailoriented.
Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Understanding of quality building practices.
Ability to quickly identify problems.
ComputerEase, Procore,BluBeam,Excel and Word experience preferred.
PhysicalRequirements:Workers must be able to: see well (either naturally or with correction); coordinate the movements of eyes, hands and fingers; use hands, arms and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required; and list and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionallymore.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
Education and experience:Bachelors degree incivil engineering orconstruction management, or related field required.
