Commercial Officer - Shipping

Emerald Zebra is working closely with a leading company specialized in the maritime and industry and looking to hire a Commercial Officer to support its commercial growth and client engagement efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the shipping sector, such as in purchasing, operations, or client coordination, who is ready to transition into a commercially focused role.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Salary depends on experience:26,000 - 35,000 Gross/Year (including 13th salary)

Previous experience in Business Development or commercial role is not required, but a good understanding of how the shipping industry operates is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tailored management proposals based on client requirements.
• Support the tender process by coordinating input from relevant departments and drafting content.
• Design and deliver presentations for prospective clients.
• Maintain and update client information using CRM software.
• Assist in preparing reports and tracking business development activity.
• Research new and existing market opportunities to support strategic growth.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of commercial strategies.
• Regularly update company presentations and materials.

Background and Experience:

• Experience in the shipping industry, ideally in roles such as purchasing, operations, or client services.
• A degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• CRM experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
