Location: Westminster Role: Physical Education Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially BTEC Sport).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of physical fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy living within Physical Education.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Physical Education department to share best practice and enhance the Physical Education curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Physical Education.
  • Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular sports clubs and school sporting events within Physical Education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education.
  • Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply), with experience delivering BTEC Sport being advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness principles, and healthy lifestyles relevant to Physical Education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students in Physical Education.
  • A passion for promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through Physical Education.
