Location: Richmond Role: Dance Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Dance lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially BTEC Dance).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for a wide range of dance techniques and choreographic principles within Dance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Performing Arts to share best practice and enhance the Dance curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Dance.
  • Potentially lead extracurricular Dance clubs or contribute to school performances.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Dance.
  • Degree in Dance or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Dance at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply), with experience in BTEC Dance being advantageous.
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of various dance styles and choreography.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students in Dance.
  • A passion for fostering creativity and performance skills through Dance.
