IT SOX Manager

The IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Manager is a pivotal role within the Internal Audit/SOX department, reporting to the Senior Director, Internal Audit and SOX. This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to significantly influence the IT practices across the company. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely execution of the SOX program, engaging in process improvement activities, and collaborating with various IT stakeholders to maintain SOX controls and processes.

Skills

• Minimum of a bachelors degree
• 8+ years of related experience in IT audit, IT operations, IT SOX programs, or consulting
• Experience with FinTech or SaaS companies
• Big 4 Public Accounting or Consulting experience
• CISA or CIA preferred
• Solid knowledge of IT controls across access security, change management, and application controls
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver high-quality results
• Understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, COSO framework
• Strong communication skills and project management abilities

Responsibilities

• Support IT Compliance efforts around IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs)
• Partner with stakeholders to develop and maintain process narratives and Risk Control Matrices
• Assist in developing the annual SOX plan and manage program activities
• Perform annual IT scoping/risk assessments
• Assess new systems or changes to existing processes to identify risks and provide recommendations
• Create test plans, perform and review SOX testing of key controls, ITACs, and reports
• Coordinate SOX activities and testing with co-sourced SOX provider and external auditors
• Evaluate IT control deficiencies and work with process owners on remediation plans
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of IT processes
• Assist with maintaining the SOX tool (AuditBoard)
• Provide training on internal control standards as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelors degree
• 8+ years of related experience in IT audit, IT operations, IT SOX programs, or consulting
• Experience in US GAAP, SOX requirements, COSO framework
• Experience with FinTech or SaaS companies
• Preferred certifications: CISA or CIA
