The successful Geography Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the diversity of our planet and the interactions between people and places.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging Geography Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering both physical and human geography.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts and skills.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity about the world and its challenges.
• Assess and monitor student progress in geography, providing clear and constructive feedback as a Geography Teacher.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
• A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging as a Geography Teacher.
• Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities in their study of geography.
• A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the humanities department.
