Role Overview:

As an EYFS Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide young children in their formative years, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will receive dedicated mentoring and support throughout your induction year, helping you grow into an outstanding practitioner. This is an exciting role for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum

Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence

Assess and track children’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians

Foster strong relationships with children, staff, and parents, promoting a supportive and positive school community

Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities and school events

Engage in professional development opportunities, receiving guidance and support throughout your ECT induction

    Person Specification:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to complete by September 2025

    A passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with young children, parents, and colleagues

    Creative, flexible, and committed to fostering a love of learning in young children

    A proactive and positive approach to teaching, with a focus on making learning enjoyable and meaningful

    Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
