Art & Design Teacher - Mixed Independent School - Ealing

A highly successful and well-established mixed independent school in the vibrant Ealing area seeks a creative and skilled Art & Design Teacher for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September. About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Art & Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital media.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage experimentation, critical thinking, and the development of individual artistic styles, while also exploring historical and contemporary art movements.
  • Assess student progress through project work, sketchbooks, portfolios, and presentations, providing detailed and constructive feedback to guide their artistic development.
  • Contribute to extracurricular art clubs, workshops, or exhibitions to further students' engagement with the subject.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art & Design or a closely related field.
  • A strong understanding of art principles, techniques, art history, and contemporary art practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills, with proficiency in a range of art media and techniques.
  • A passion for art and design and the ability to inspire students' creativity and critical thinking about visual culture.
